Roberto Hernandez, age 70, passed away on April 10, 2026 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He was born in Philadelphia, Pa on January 25, 1956 to Santurnino Hernandez and Ida Elsa Hernandez.
Robert lived fully— not in grand gestures alone, but in laughter shared, in quiet moments,
in the simple joy of being surrounded by those he loved.
He carried light within him— a brilliant smile, a heart always open, a love that asked for nothing in return yet gave everything.
He found happiness in the little things— family visits filled with warmth, plates of chicken wings and tostones, Philly cheesesteaks enjoyed with a smile— moments that became memories,
memories that became treasures.
He escaped into worlds of action and adventure, video games in his hands, movies lighting up his imagination— a spirit that embraced joy wherever it lived.
And when he agreed, in his own gentle way, you would hear him say, “Okay… uh-huh…”
a simple phrase, now an echo we will carry forever.
But above all — he was our mother’s keeper — When she was weak, he became her strength. When she was weary, he became her rest. When she needed love the most, he stood beside her— day and night, without question, without hesitation. In him, we witnessed what love truly looks like— not spoken, but lived.
He leaves behind not just memories, but a legacy— in his brothers, Pascual “Pete” and Johnny,
in his nieces and nephews, in every cousin, every friend, every life he touched with kindness.
Robert, you are at rest now— beyond pain, beyond worry— but your love remains, woven into each of us.
Your life — your heart — your quiet strength — will live on. We will carry you in every smile, in every memory, in every act of love. Until we meet again, Amen.
