Rev. Deacon Angel Luis Alicea Rivera

Deacon Angel Luis Alicea Rivera, age 83, on February 2, 2022 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico.

Born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico to the late Candido Alicea and the late Antonia Rivera. Deacon Alicea Rivera joined the United States Army in 1957, moved to New York in 1965, moved to Virginia in 1969, Moved to Philadelphia in 1973 until 1988 when he returned to Puerto Rico, He was ordained Deacon of the Catholic Church on October 31, 1981, returned to Philadelphia in 2012 and worked for the IRS for 35 Years.   

Beloved husband to the late Fermina Rivera.

Beloved father to Edda Alicea (Edgar Martinez), Lissette Alicea (Felix Ortiz), Angel Alicea, Jr. (Veronica Alicea), Wanda Alicea, and Robert Alicea (Jason Rivera)

Beloved Grandfather to Nicole Mendez, Jonathan Mendez, Christopher Quinones, Christina Alicea, Eric Ryan Ortiz, Andrew Alicea, Liani Lizette Ortiz, Stephan Alicea, Julian Rivera, Gabriel Alicea, Christian Alicea, and the late Angel Luis Alicea III.

Beloved Great Grandfather to Dylan Carter Simon, Arianna Mendez, Ariel Mendez, Saralynn Mendez, Kaylee Mendez, Zane Noah Mendez and Valentina Alicea.

Services will be held on Tuesday February 15, 2022 at St. William Church from 9 am to 9:45 am. Funeral Mass to begin at 10 am. Interment to follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
