Ramon Ramos was born on September 1, 1940, in Isabela, Puerto Rico to Antonio Ramos and Carmen Rodriguez Lopez, both deceased.
Ramon worked for the City of Philadelphia, Sanitation Department and retired after nineteen years of service.
He enjoyed spending time at the Atlantic City casino. In his earlier years, he had a passion for hunting and enjoyed the thrill of a good hunt. He also had a great love for birds.
He leaves to mourn his wife Maria Ramos; his loving children Santa Rodriguez, Ramon Ramos, Jose Ramos, Genol Ramos, John Ramos, Anthony Farrell, Amilia Farrell, Rosa Ramos, Carmen Miranda, Brunilda Quiles, Ramonita Ramos, Carmen Trinidad, Carmin Espinosa, Ana Ramos, Ramon A. Ramos Jr., Johanna Millan, Diana Walker and Jimmy Santos; his devoted brother Francisco “Pancho” Rodriguez; and precious grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son William Ramos, his brother Lojino “Jino”; and sisters Rosa, Amelia, Dominga and Guillermina.
A public viewing will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 8 am to 9 am at the Rodriguez Funeral Home, J Street & Erie Avenue.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 10 am St. Veronica Church, 6th & Tioga’s Street.
He will be laid to rest at New Cathedral Cemetery.
