Rafael Perez

Rafael Perez, age 75, passed away in Philadelphia, PA on April 6, 2020.  He was born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico to the late Rafael Perez and the late Andrea Martinez.  
He was the beloved companion for 24 years of Angela Santiago; devoted stepfather of Marilyn Orozco-Gonzalez (Jose) and Roberto Orozco, and devoted grandfather to Alexes and Sophia; devoted brother of the late Julio Perez, Santa Perez, the late Jose Antonio Perez, Carmen Teresa Perez, Gloria Esther Perez, the late Juan Jose Perez, Rosa Maria Perez, Ramonita Perez, Angel Luis Perez, and Carmen Maria Perez.  He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. 
  
Rafael was lovingly known as "Junior."   To know him was to love him.  He was a very hardworking, humble,  gentle, loving, and kind-hearted man.  His smile and laughter would light up a room.  He enjoyed watching his favorite shows on TV, playing pool, dominoes, listening to old ballads, reggaeton and salsa.  He enjoyed laying on the hammocks and falling asleep.  He looked forward to visiting his favorite island, Puerto Rico.  He treasured his family and friends and enjoyed every moment with them.  He leaves many memories to be cherished with all those who loved him dearly, and will be greatly missed, especially by those closest to him.
A celebration of his life will be held in the near future.
