Paulina Rivera, our beloved mother was called upon from the Lord on April 6, 2021 after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Paulina was born and raised in Maunabo, Puerto Rico. As a young child she loved education. Unable to gain the level of academics she desired, she aspired to provide her four children with a strong education. As a single mother of four, Paulina moved to Brooklyn, New York and worked tirelessly to provide for her children. After several years of residing in New York, she and her family moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she continued to provide for her growing family.
Paulina was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis over a year ago. Through her battle with the disease, she remained strong, independent and faithful in the Lord. She was surrounded by her family during her last weeks at her home where she was cared for and loved.
Paulina leaves precious memories to her four children Igdalia Woodland, Iris Ocasio, Wanda Rivera and Alfredo Ocasio and their spouses Joseph Woodland, Gilberto Rivera and Leticia Rodriguez. She will be remembered and honored by her 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
A viewing will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 5 pm to 7 pm and Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 9 am to 10:30 am at the Rodriguez Funeral Home. A service of comfort will follow at Rodriguez Funeral Home. Procession will begin at 11 am.
