Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to Prudencio Sierra and Maria Santiago, both preceded in death.

Beloved wife of the late Audelino Melendez; devoted mother of Hilda Luz Melendez, Jacqueline Melendez, Maria Melendez, Victor Melendez, Audelino Melendez, Olga Burgos, Maria Martinez, Rosa Burgos, the late Jose Luis Melendez and the late Angela Melendez; sister of Carmen Sierra, Crucita Sierra, Papo Sierra, Angelica Sierra, Gloria Sierra and Maria Esther Sierra; precious grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
