Deacon Jose M. Mendez

Deacon Jose M. Mendez, age 89, passed away peacefully on April 16th surrounded by his loving family.

Deacon Jose was born in Camuy, Puerto Rico to Ciprian Mendez and Marina Ramirez de Mendez.

He leaves memories to be cherished by his beloved wife Luz A. “Linda” Mendez; devoted daughters Virginia Milewski (Joseph), Linda Marie Miller and Jocelyn McCandless (Matt); precious grandchildren Victoria Milewski-Bostanche (Jared), Jolene Milewski, Michael Anthony Miller II (Emily), Jessica Lynn Steele (Sam), Nicholas Aaron Miller, Shannon Kehoe (Gerard), Matthew McCandless, Sean McCandless; loving great grandchildren Jackson  Bostanche,  Lincoln Steele, Kylie Kehoe and Brayden Kehoe; and his dear sister Juanita Diaz; among other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ciprian and Marina Mendez; his sisters Ana Lydia Edelman and Josefina Mendez; and his brothers Obdulio Mendez, and Eugenio Mendez.  

Deacon Mendez journey of love and devotion started with his family and continued with the church.
