Crisolida Perez Rivera

Crisolida Perez Rivera, age 86, lovingly known as “Lola” passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on March 28, 2023. 
Lola was born on December 6, 1936 in Camuy, Puerto Rico to Jesus DeJesus and Josefa Quiles. She grew up surrounded by many sisters and brothers and valued her family above all else. She moved to Philadelphia with her husband, Ramon, to build a life for their children (Mariluz and Jose). Lola was known for her kind heart, strong will, and good hugs. She loved to cook and was always ready to welcome hungry bellies into her home. She loved caring for children, and her house was always filled with the laughter of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other children who were loved like they were her own. Lola was a woman of strong faith and always put the needs of others before her own. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her loved ones. 
Lola is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ramon Perez Rivera; her son Jose A. Perez (Marta), daughter Mariluz Ventus, grandchildren Melanie Pellecchia (Joseph), Peter Ventus, Clarissa Ventus, and Deliah Meeker, and her great-grandchildren, Jake, Norah, and Natalie. She was beloved sister to Benny DeJesus, the late Candida DeJesus, the late Confesor DeJesus, Juan Antonio DeJesus, Carmen “Neri” Bosque, Emma Smith, and Elva Krantz. Her legacy of love and compassion will live on through the countless lives she touched. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
