Carmen Sofia Padilla Palau

Carmen Sofia Padilla Palau, age 79, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2020 in Philadelphia, Pennsyvlania.

Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico to the late Hector Pa;lau and the late Arcelia Mercedes Colon.

Beloved wife of Israel Padilla Larroig; devoted mother of Samuel rios Jr., Anibal Rios (Margarita Rios Sanchez) and Evelyn Mattos (the late Pedro Mattos, Jr.); sister of Rosario Palau, Blanca Rios Palau, Luis Palau, the late Mercedes Borrero, the late Hector Francisco Palau, and the late Cesar Palau.  She is also blessed with nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Rodriguez Funeral Home and Friday, January 24, 2020 from 9 am to 10 am at St. Ambrose Church, C Street & Roosevelt Blvd, Philadelphia.   

She will be laid to rest at New Cathedral Cemetery of Philadelphia.
