My Mom Carmen D. Martinez
Mom was the most wonderful person you’d ever meet. If you were lucky enough to know her you were her friend for life. She taught her children to be giving, kind and of service to others.
Mom passed in her sleep on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 she’d been ill for a few months but surrounded by friends and family in her last few weeks of life.
Her main concern was that all her friends and family would come together in love to celebrate her life. She didn’t want us to cry but did shed a few tears with us along the way. Crazy how she was here with us for 77yrs. yet she did everything she could to comfort us and prepare us upon her passing. God gave her the strength to choose go to her home of 47yrs. to rest as she prepared to begin her journey into the after life. In her last days she kept reaching up to grab ahold of someone’s hand. We’d like to think it was a loved one she long to see or God himself welcoming her into her rightful heavenly place. We were privileged to have witness her passing.
Mom is survived by her 4 Children. Carmen “Iris” Rodriguez, Evelyn Soto, Alcides Franceschini (Mr. Cee) and Jacqueline Martinez. Also by her countless Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren and other close friends and family.
If she was able to she’d say
“you’ll get through this. I suffer no more. I am finally at peace.”
I say this with all my love. your Mom, Sister, or lifelong friend.
Love you guys Mom
