Carmelo Sanchez-Roche

Carmelo Sanchez-Roche, age 73, passed away on March 11th surrounded by his loving family at the comfort of his home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Carmelo, lovingly known as “Melo” was born in Salinas, Puerto Rico to Jose Sanchez and Maria Roche de Sanchez.

He leaves memories to be cherished by his beloved wife Rose Marie Sanchez; devoted children Rosemarie Martinez (Luis), Richard Shead (Vanessa), James Shead (Diana), Lisa Shead and his son Carmelo Montero, and Zoraida Pinero (Jorge); sibling of Jose A. Sanchez, Carlos Sanchez, Leonor Sanchez, Ramona Sanchez, Maritza Sanchez, Carmen Rodriguez, Emilia Sanchez, Milagros Sanchez, Milagros Sanchez and Carlos Sanchez. He is survived by precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Margarita, and grandson Richard W. Shead Jr II.
