Carmelo Montero

Carmelo Montero, age 77, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on November 7, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Carmelo was born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, to Maria Lopez and Antonio Montero.

Beloved husband of Lucrecia (Cuca) Montero (nee Santiago) devoted father of Carmelo Montero Jr., the late Felipe (Seedee) Montero, and Vanessa Montero; loving grandfather of Nicholas, Carisa, Jordan, Jayden, Nia and Antonio and brother of Antonia, Jose, Papo, Miguel, Jesus, Luis, Carmen, Crucita, Ricardo, Carlos and Iris.  He is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, his beloved dog Melo, and a host of dear friends.

Carmelo will forever be remembered for his love, laughter, craftsmanship, his love of music, and his great dance moves.
