Carlos Manuel Cruz, Sr.

Carlos Manuel Cruz was born on February 15, 1956 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico and passed away on April 23, 2018 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

Carlos was raised in Philadelphia. 

He was known by family as a great uncle, a great chef and a lovable yet straight to the point character.

His love for his children was great and was shown in his dedication to them through care, affection and discipline.  

Carlos is survived by a fiancé Nydia Colon; two sons Jesus M. Cruz and Carlos M. Cruz, Jr.; two daughters in law Jaqueline Lopez and Anell Cruz; and three grandchildren Jordynn, Jaylene and Mia.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Rodriguez Funeral Home, J Street & Erie Avenue.  A service of Comfort will be officiated by Rev. Angelo Hernandez. 

On Monday, April 30, 2018 the family will gather again at the Rodriguez Funeral Home to assemble in procession at 1 pm to bury his cremated remains at Greenmount Cemetery.
