Antonio "Tony" Rodriguez

Antonio “Tony” Rodriguez, age 56, passed away on October 15, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to Julio and Virginia (nee Diaz) Rodriguez, both preceded in death.

Tony, lovingly known by his family and close friends, was an active member of the Philadelphia Fire Department for 18 years, where he made an impact on many throughout his career.

Tony was a man who lived fully and loved deeply. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Tony found happiness in bringing people together. His home was always open—especially on game days where friends and family gathered to share laughter, and a good cigar.

Tony’s legacy is one of Family, Camaraderie, loyalty, love, and laughter. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His spirit will live on in every family gathering and every Eagles win.  "Fly high, Tony. And Go Birds".

Tony was a kind-hearted, generous man, whose legacy will live on.

Loving husband of Adela Rodriguez; devoted father of Melissa Rodriguez (David Olmo), German Sanchez III (Sacha Sanchez), Siani Rodriguez and Jenissa Briani Rodriguez; precious grandfather of Liani Sanchez, Julian Sanchez, Jaedyn Sanchez, Xavier Anthony Rodriguez-Olmo, David Anthony Olmo, Cristian Rodriguez-Olmo, Genesis Corraliza Rodriguez, Antonio Corraliza Rodriguez and Alexandra Corraliza Rodriguez; and beloved brother of Julio Rodriguez Jr., Jorge Rodriguez, Felix Rodriguez. Carmen Rosa Rodriguez Pérez, Ramonita Rodriguez Fallas, Ricardo Rodriguez, Eileen McAfee, Judy López, Maria Medina, Wanda Nichols and Rosita Delgado. Also survived by nieces, nephews, among other family members and dear friends.

Family, members of the Philadelphia Fire Department and friends are invited to his viewing and Celebration of Life on Friday, October 24th, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Capacity Church, 5301 Wayne Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19144.

He will be laid to rest at Magnolia Cemetery.
