Ada Francis Urroz

Ada Francis Urroz, 62, of Philadelphia, PA, peacefully passed away on March 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born on September 5, 1962, in Corinto, Nicaragua, 

Ada was the daughter of the late Concepcion Gonzalez and the late Francisco Urroz. Ada was a devoted and loving mother to Julio Alexander Solis Urroz, Gaby Paola Handal (Solis) and her husband Kerin Handal, Ada Berfalia Ayala and her partner Samuel Mendez, Angelica Oneida Bernard (Ayala-Urroz) and her husband Edgardo Bernard, and Francis Jissette Patton. Her unwavering love and support was the pillar of her family. 

Ada shared a loving partnership with Noemi Melendez, creating a life filled with shared joy and companionship. Ada’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren: Frances Marie Solis Martinez, Steven Javier Solis Martinez, Aidan Alexander Handal, Adriana Sofia Handal, Maverick Alexander Mendez, and Beau Javier Bernard. She treasured every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories. 

Ada was a beloved sister to her five siblings and aunt to many cherished nieces and nephews. 

Ada carried the warmth and vibrancy of her Nicaraguan heritage throughout her life, a fact anyone who tasted her signature Chancho con Yuca can attest to. She especially loved being serenaded by Mariachi during her visits to Nicaragua to visit her son Julio. 

Ada was the center of joy and happiness, always greeting the world with a radiant smile. Her spirit was captivating, and her smile and laughter filled any room she entered. She had a deep love for music, particularly salsa, merengue, and bachata, and could often be found dancing with joyous enthusiasm. Ada took great pride in her appearance, always ensuring her makeup was flawless and never leaving the house without her beloved earrings. In fact, her dedication to her signature style was so unwavering that she even made sure to wear her earrings during her hospital stays – a testament to her vibrant and unwavering personality.

Nacida el 5 de septiembre de 1962 en Corinto, Nicaragua, Ada era hija de la difunta Concepción González y del difunto Francisco Urroz. 

Ada fue una madre devota y amorosa de Julio Alexander Solís Urroz, Gaby Paola Handal (Solís) y su esposo Kerin Handal, Ada Berfalia Ayala y su pareja Samuel Méndez, Angélica Oneida Bernard (Ayala-Urroz) y su esposo Edgardo Bernard, y Francis Jissette Patton. Su amor y apoyo inquebrantables fue el pilar de su familia. 

Ada compartió su vida con su pareja Noemi Meléndez, creando una vida llena de alegría. La mayor alegría de Ada era su familia, especialmente sus nietos: Frances Marie Solis Martinez, Steven Javier Solis Martinez, Aidan Alexander Handal, Adriana Sofia Handal, Maverick Alexander Mendez y Beau Javier Bernard. Ada se enorgullecía mucho de su apariencia, siempre se aseguraba de que su maquillaje fuera impecable y nunca salía de casa sin sus amados aretes.
