Tomasita Romero

Tomasita Romero, age 87, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2019.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Felipe Rivera and Carmen Echevarria.

She was a devoted member of the Horticultural Society; Daughters of Mary; Sacred Heart of Jesus; St. Boniface R.C. Church and St. Michael’s Church.    

Loving wife of the late Antonio Romero; beloved mother of Antonio Romero Jr., Wanda Romero and the late Julius Romero; devoted sister of Providencia Gonzalez, Luis Rivera, Fernando Rivera and the late Felicita Bonaparte; and previous grandmother and great grandmother.

A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Rodriguez Funeral Home, J Street & Erie Ave.

A final viewing Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 9 am to 10:30 am at St. Peter The Apostle Church, 5th Street & Girard Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19123. 

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 10:30 am St. Peter the Apostle Church, 5th Street & Girard Avenue.  

She will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
