Maria D. Colon

Maria D. Colon, age 78, passed away on September 6, 2019.

Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico to Polonio Colon and Santos Melendez.

Loving mother of Nydia Sierra, Lourdes J. Sanchez, Madeline Rivera, Carlos Fuentes, Leticia Fuentes, Luis Ramirez and the late Maribel Aponte; beloved sister of Juana Colon, Juana Melendez, Roberto “Ruben” Colon, Axilio Colon, Sylvia Melendez, Nilda Melendez, the late Jule Colon and the late Guillermo Colon; devoted grandmother and precious great grandmother.  Maria leaves treasured memories to many nieces and nephews among other relatives and dear friends.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 9 am at Visitation BVM Church, B Street & Lehigh Ave, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.

She will be laid to rest at Greenmount Cemetery.
