Jose Montanez

Jose Montanez, age 61, passed away on September 26, 2019 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Beloved son of the late Ursino Montanez Soto and the late Erminia De Leon; devoted brother of Carmen Montanez, Miguel Montanez, the late Rafaelina Fernandez and the late Cruzito “Johnny” Montanez; loving uncle to Rosa, Gloria, Emily, Yolanda, Pablo, Ruben, Roberto, Raymond, Victoria, Abigail, Maria, Johnny, Libby, Johnny and Gilbert.

Jose will be remembered as a very kind to everyone.  He was a hardworking man since age 16.

Even though Jose didn’t have children of his own he loved his nieces and nephews as his own. One of the best memories of him is being Santa Claus in Christmas for his nieces and nephews.  Jose was very devoted to his family.

His viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 at Rodriguez Funeral Home from 10am followed by a Liturgical Service at 11 am.

He will be laid to rest at Greenmount Cemetery of Philadelphia.
